Kathmandu, 21 Shrawan. Five Covid-19 infected people have died in Nepal, the highest toll in a single day ever.
Two people each from Parsa and Morang districts and one in Kathmandu have lost their lives due to the infection. According to the latest statistics, the total number of deaths due to coronavirus in Nepal has reached 63.
A 46-year-old man from Birgunj-15 and an 18-year-old girl of Pokhariya Municipality-8 have died due to the infection in Parsa. Similarly, the reports of a 45-year-old man from Rangeli Municipality who died on the way to the hospital and another man of the same age who died in the Koshi Hospital of Morang came to be positive after deaths.
The other woman who died in Kathmandu is from Malangwa of Sarlahi district. The 65-year old woman was undergoing treatment at the Armed Police Force Hospital in Balambu, Kathmandu. She was referred from Manamohan Hospital to the Armed Police Hospital and was diagnosed with corona infection on December 5. She suffered from pneumonia as well as scrub typhus.
The rate of corona infection in Nepal is constantly increasing. In the last 24 hours, an additional 381 people have been infected. At the same time, the total number of infected people has reached 21,390. At present, 6,174 people are actively infected across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
